Who Is Lady Gabriella Windsor?

The New Royal Baby Shares His Birthday With Another Member of the Royal Family

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's third child was born on a very fitting and patriotic day: St. George's Day. The public were quick to point out that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge perhaps jumped the gun when they named their first child, as the new arrival would have been the perfect Prince George!

But as well as being born on a very fitting day, he also shares his birthday with another member of the royal family. Lady Gabriella Windsor, who goes by the name Ella to friends and family, is the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, first cousins of Queen Elizabeth II. Lady Gabriella was born April 23. 1981 at the Lindo Wing, St Mary's Hospital, the same as the newest arrival and his siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. She attended Brown University and also has a PhD in anthropology from Oxford University and is now a freelance features writer.

Although she doesn't take on any official royal duties, Lady Gabriella does attend traditions such as the Trooping of the Colour, and she was a guest at Pippa Middleton's wedding last May with the rest of the royal family.
