Get to Know Rafferty Law, the Actor Starring in Sky's Twist

Before Sky Cinema's Twist, Raff Law Already Had Successful Music and Modelling Careers

If 24-year-old Rafferty Law — also known as Raff Law — isn't already on your radar, he's about to be. Born and raised in London, he's already had an impressive career as a model and musician, and he recently made his acting debut. Following the news of Sky Cinema's exciting adaptation of Oliver Twist, a star-studded cast has been confirmed for the series, and yep, you guessed it — it features Raff Law. Alongside Law, the cast includes Sir Michael Caine, David Walliams, and Rita Ora. Not too shabby for your first big acting gig.

In addition Twist, Law is starring alongside his father for the first time in Darren Strowger's debut short, The Hat, winning the Spirit of the Festival award at this year's Raindance Film Festival.

When he launched his music career back in 2014, it turns out that Law already had a bit of experience under his belt. Chatting to ES Magazine, a 17-year-old Raff revealed: "I did work experience for Blur for two weeks when they were rehearsing for their reunion gig because Damon Albarn is really good friends with my dad. I tuned their guitars and stuff."

Law was formerly in a band called The Dirty Harrys, which he created with his best friend Marley Mackey — also known as Pulp bassist Steve Mackey's son.

After The Dirty Harrys broke up in 2017, Law started another band. Called Outer Stella Overdrive and made up of Law and three friends, the group have released a total of six singles and performed in venues such as Village Underground, Dingwalls, and The Box.

Outer Stella Overdrive's latest single, "Stare at the Screen", is out now.

Raff started modelling around the age of 16, and since then he's featured on catwalks for the likes of Valentino and DKNY. "It took me a couple of jobs to understand that I liked it a lot, to get in touch with stimulating people, starting with the photographers you shoot with," he told L'Officiel. "It also helped me strengthen my self-esteem and to make me discover a fundamental aspect of my character."

Having grown up with a mum like Sadie Frost and a dad like Jude Law, getting into the acting game was inevitable for Rafferty Law. He's mostly worked on short films, one of which even won the Spirit of the Festival award at this year's Raindance Film Festival. Four films and a producer credit later, he landed himself the role of Oliver Twist in Sky's new remake.

Along with Raff's journey into the music world, he's always had an interest in the work of young creatives. He started a creative collective with his friends back in 2017 called Something to Hate On. Described by i-D as "a brand new platform dedicated to showcasing the work of London's coolest young creatives", the name comes from the idea that there's "so much hate in this generation, powered by social media, comments and likes — you have to accept that with anything positive and popular comes hate, it's just part of life."

The platform specialised in hosting exhibitions and events until Law left in 2018.

Iris, 20, has been modelling for five years, and began her journey into the industry by modelling for London-based brand Illustrated People. Fun fact: the clothing line was actually founded by stylist Phoebe Lettice, who appeared on popular E4 show Made in Chelsea.

Iris's godmother is none other than fashion royalty Kate Moss, and as a result, Iris's foray into the world of luxury was inevitable. She made her Paris Fashion Week debut in March this year, modelling for Miu Miu.
