In 2017, a year after season one of Stranger Things hooked viewers, Millie won the MTV Movie and TV award for best actor in a show and a SAG award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series, among many other trophies. Since then, she's snagged a 2018 Kids' Choice award for favourite TV actress, two 2019 Teen Choice honours for choice Summer female TV star and choice fantasy/sci-fi TV actress, and the 2019 People's Choice title for favourite female TV star. So far, she's won 11 awards altogether and became the youngest honouree on Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in 2018.
