In March, Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation gave $5 million to bolster coronavirus response efforts, helping the most vulnerable in the United States, the Caribbean, and Africa. The singer also donated medical supplies to New York. "I would like to thank Rihanna and the Rihanna Foundation for donating personal protective equipment to New York State," Governor Andrew Cuomo tweeted. "We're so appreciative of your help and that of so many others who have stepped up." The following month, she and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey teamed up to donate $4.2 million to help victims of domestic violence affected by the stay-at-home order in LA.
