While Steven was a co-executive producer for the entire series, he also directed episodes five and eight (titled "Plan B" and "Free") of The Act. On the show Joey starred as Gypsy Rose Blanchard, a woman who suffers Munchausen by proxy at the hands of her mother and rebels with violent results.
