Her Hit Single "Control" Is About Her Struggle With Benign Rolandic Epilepsy

In her interview with Genius, Wees described how "Control" was one of the first songs she ever wrote with a group of professional songwriters, and was inspired by her childhood struggles with benign rolandic epilepsy. Her mission in writing the song was to say thank you to her primary school teacher, who Wees said helped push her along as a young girl, helping her become the megawatt stage presence she is today. Lyrics like "Don't know if you get it 'cause I can't express how thankful I am/ That you were always with me when it hurts, I know that you'd understand/ I don't wanna lose control/ Nothing I can do anymore/ Tryin' every day when I hold my breath" express the significance to Wees's life.
