How Many Kids Does Stacey Solomon Have?

Stacey Solomon Shares the Most Adorable Photos of Her Five Kids

Stacey Solomon might be a regular on our TV screens, but she is perhaps best known for being a wonderful mum. The "Loose Women" star, who regularly opens up about her family life, added to her brood by welcoming her fifth child in February 2023: a daughter named Belle and her third baby with her husband, Joe Swash.

While Solomon is undoubtedly kept busy with her growing family, she has opened up about the possibility of baby number six. Speaking to Ok! Magazine in a June interview, the 34-year-old revealed another baby isn't on the cards yet. "I've literally just given birth!" she told the outlet. "I couldn't even imagine anything going on."

Solomon has always made sure she shows the realities of life with five kids on her Instagram, detailing the good and the not-so-good parts. She recently got candid about the struggles of motherhood, drowning in washing, and has also been praised for posting photos of her postpartum body.

Solomon, who was previously in relationships with Dean Cox and Aaron Barnham, is undoubtedly happier than ever with the family unit she has created with former "EastEnders" actor Swash, who she wed in July 2022 after six years together.

While Solomon found fame on "The X Factor", she has gone on to become a household name, regularly appearing on the "Loose Women" panel and presenting the BBC show "Sort Your Life Out" after her social media following became hooked on her decluttering capabilities. And with Belle's arrival, and taking care of her other four children, she's also a step-mother to teenager Harry – Swash's son from his previous relationship — so it's safe to say she has her hands very full.

So, who exactly are Stacey Solomon's kids, how old are they, and what has Solomon said about her bond with each one of her children? Read on to find out more about her motherhood journey, including some of the cutest photos of Stacey Solomon's kids.

Solomon was 17-years-old when she fell pregnant with her son Zachary, who she shares with her ex-boyfriend Dean Cox. She gave birth to her first bundle of joy on 21 March 2008, and entered "The X Factor" just 18 months later. During her time on the singing competition, where she finished in third place, Solomon frequently spoke about little Zachary and how proud she was of her son.

She is just as proud of him now he's a teenager, which was evident in a recent birthday tribute to Zachary, in which she detailed overcoming the shame she experienced as a teen mother. "At 17 years old the things they said about us, what they didn't know was that you were my beginning, my reason, my sole purpose to get up and do my absolute best. And you've been by my side ever since," she wrote in a candid Instagram post. "It would never have turned out this way without you. Zachary I'm so proud of the man you are becoming and the kind, caring, amazing person that you are."

Four years later, on 5 May 2012, Stacey welcomed her second child, another boy named Leighton, with her ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham, who she met on holiday in Greece in 2009. Solomon and Barnham's relationship lasted two more years, and speaking to OK magazine about their split in 2014, a source said they had "simply just grown apart".

Having ensured that she stayed good friends with her ex's, Solomon recently opened up about how her two eldest sons struggled while separated from her and their siblings while spending time with their respective dads. In an Instagram post, she wrote: "It's always hard to split them up, but it's so important for them to spend special time and make memories with the rest of their families. No matter what negative, unhelpful things people may say or think, ignore it because they're wrong."

She added: "I used to really beat myself up about not being able to offer them a 'normal', 'perfect' family all under one roof. Until I realised how normal, and perfect our family is for us. Seeing the way they are together reminds me that it's all ok. Families come in all shapes and sizes and what's important is that the love is there no matter where it comes from. We are not a 'broken family' in any way shape or form we are an extended family. And everyone loves an extension."

Rex was Solomon's first child with now-husband Joe, who they welcomed on 23 May 2019. At the time, the couple had fans waiting two weeks to reveal the newborn's name. On 7 June, they finally took to social media to announce his name and the touching reason why they waited so long to reveal it. The post read: "Rex Toby Francis Swash. Due today, born 23.05.2019, on my Mummy's birthday. Rex because our boys think he sounds like a T-Rex. Francis is Joe's Nanna's name and Toby is my Nanna's name."

She added: "It's taken us this long to announce the name because for some strange, probably hormone and post-birth-related reason, I didn't want to do it until his official due date."

Addressing Rex's early birth, Swash wrote in their baby arrival announcement picture: "This morning. A lot earlier than planned I watched the love of my life, bring a new life into the world. We are overwhelmed, overjoyed and apprehensive of what's to come. Mummy and baby are well and resting."

Rose is Solomon and Swash's second child and their first daughter together. Her home birth was special as she arrived at the couple's abode, lovingly dubbed Pickle Cottage, on Solomon's 32nd birthday on 4 October 2021. "She's Here. Born at Pickle Cottage on mummy's birthday," read their joint Instagram post, which showed a series of sweet snaps of the little one. "Our little girl… Happy birthday my darling daughter… We all love you more than you could ever imagine. Your brothers, your daddy and I are so in love. Thank you for the most incredible 9 months. Now we cannot wait for the rest of our lives with you…"

Since her birth, Solomon has been documenting little Rose's milestones, such as a sweet clip of her taking her first steps.

Solomon announced she was pregnant with her fifth child in December 2022 and welcomed daughter Belle two months later in February. She is Solomon and Swash's third child, second daughter, and the first child they have welcomed as husband and wife.

"So grateful & can not believe I'm saying this… Another little pickle is on the way… A HUGE surprise, but one that we are so thankful for to the moon & back bub @realjoeswashy," she wrote of her pregnancy announcement in an Instagram post.

Following her birth, Solomon didn't wait long to announce her name, writing under a sweet snap of the snoozing baby: "Belle. Our little Belle. Our beautiful, delicate baby girl. Who will forever remind us of the bluebells that are about to bloom as you bring the spring with you into the world… And a little special connection to your Rose. To the moon and back Belle. Forever and always." Belle, who is the youngest of Stacey Solomon's kids, is absolutely adorable in all the pictures and we have no doubt she'll fit right into the family.

Solomon is also a stepmum to 15-year-old Harry, who Swash shares with ex-fiancé Emma Sophocleous.

Opening up previously about her relationship with the teen, Solomon was refreshingly honest as she said it was a "work in progress". Elsewhere she also opened up the "rocky road" to navigating life in a blended family. "That has never been easy. We have always had to work really hard to make sure everyone feels secure," she explained on Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe's "Parenting Hell" podcast.
