If your pandemic experience included lengthy TV-marathons and constant hunts for the newest Netflix shows, odds are you've come across Megan Suri before. The 22-year-old actress is most known for her appearances on ABC's Fresh Off the Boat, Netflix's Atypical, and the indie comedy The MisEducation of Bindu, but she's only getting started.

On top of her acting chops, Megan also has some serious dance experience in her background. Her profile from the 2020 film, Dramarama, revealed that she has even performed live with the renowned Montreal-based entertainment company, Cirque du Soleil. "Though the impressively-versatile Megan was not a theatre kid like her DRAMARAMA character Claire, she did perform once with Cirque du Soleil!" the site reported. We're only sad we missed the show.

Megan is a total professional, but even she wasn't prepared to see one of the scenes from The MisEducation of Bindu on the big screen. "Our director did not warn us, or did not warn me, that she was going to be showing the scene where I'm making out intensely with our gorgeous actor," she told Julian Soto of Extra Butter at the Mill Valley Film Festival. "I don't even know how to describe it, it was just like the worst kind of cringe."

Although Megan grew up in LA county, she got candid with Anuj Radia from Filme Shilmy about what school was originally like for her after living in India as a child. "I lived in India for two and a half years, and when I came back, I went straight into third grade," she said. "I just remember certain things that had been indoctrinated in my time of being in school in India, and coming back to the States and then doing those things, and kids just being like, 'What is she doing? She is so weird.'"

Thankfully, she thinks this experience actually helped her identify with her character in The MisEducation of Bindu, explaining that, "I had that connection with Bindu of just feeling like, I don't really know where I am."

We know Megan has dance experience, specifically in the traditional Bhangra style, but even Mindy Kaling was surprised to see her moves in a teaser for Never Have I Ever season two. "I can tell from this short clip that you're an amazing dancer and I'm jealous," Kaling commented on Megan's Instagram. Megan graciously gave most of the credit to her outfit in the clip. "It 100% helps that Sal dressed me up as a backup hip-hop dancer," she joked, referring to the show's talented costume designer, Salvador Perez.

Back in September of 2015, Megan shared a sweet journal entry from when she was only eight years old. The first page reads "Today is the greatest day of my life," followed by a series of exclamation marks and hastily scribbled hearts. "Was cleaning my closet out and came across this gem. Time flies...I was 8 years old when I booked my first role which happened to be in a commercial for Honda," Megan wrote to her Instagram followers. "Fast forward to now, and I still get THAT excited for any role I've been blessed enough to book."

Back in April, Megan took to Twitter to share some of her favourite ways to unwind. "Anyone else watch cooking videos or Pedro Pascal interviews to calm anxiety," she tweeted. We're taking notes, but if that doesn't work, Megan also recommends checking out some Jersey Shore compilations.

According to a tweet from 2020, Megan had many important takeaways from her first day of shooting Never Have I Ever, one of which included her fellow cast member, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and the Harry Potter series. "@ramakrishnannn helped me discover my Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw," Megan wrote while gushing about the incredible cast. "I can't believe I helped with your first house sorting," Maitreyi responded, sharing that she identifies more with Gryffindor herself.

When it comes to music, Megan can't hide her love for the iconic rapper and songwriter, Megan Thee Stallion. In fact, after being cast in season two of Never Have I Ever, Megan tweeted at the musician, "Still processing... but also hoping this increases my chances of getting noticed by @theestallion." This came after a tweet just a few days earlier that read, "At this point, I only have a Twitter to support @theestallion on as many platforms as I possibly can." It might not have happened yet, but we're still keeping our fingers crossed for a future Megan X Megan collab.

Everyone gets a little awkward around their crush, and Megan admits she's no exception. However, she knows the best way to get through a tense situation is to just dance it out. "Thinking about the time I was in an lift with a hot co-star and decided to start voguing because I didn't know what else to do," she tweeted. The question that remains is which co-star was lucky enough to witness the impromptu performance?

All actors and actresses get a little starstruck at times, but Megan could not say enough about Preity Zinta, who plays Megan's mom on Fresh Off The Boat. "Guys, the actress who plays my mom in the #FreshOffTheBoat episode is literally a Bollywood SUPERSTAR. I legit grew up watching her movies and adoring her. I even danced to one of her films' songs on my Sweet 16," she tweeted. "So all imma say is dream big, and then, dream even bigger."
