Zendaya’s Best Appearances, Quotes, and Moments in 2019

We Need to Reflect on Zendaya's Amazing Year, Because She's Been Flexing on Everyone

It seems like Zendaya becomes more successful every year, and 2019 is no different. The 23-year-old actress has continuously shown off her multifaceted talents as she makes her mark in film, TV, fashion, and music. When she wasn't gracing our screens on HBO's Euphoria or delivering punchy bon mots in Spider-Man: Far From Home, she was putting on fierce runway shows and stunting at red carpet events. And that's just the half of it. Let's reflect on Zendaya's remarkable year, shall we?

1. She became a Lancôme Global Ambassador.

In February, Zendaya joined a group of industry notables, including Lupita Nyong'o and Julia Roberts, as an ambassador for Lancôme. Considering all of her amazing makeup looks, it seems like a perfect fit.

2. Her Paris Fashion Week show with Tommy Hilfiger made waves.

Everyone was buzzing about Zendaya's suit at the Harper's Bazaar Icons party in September. Turns out, Michael B. Jordan previously wore the same ensemble, but even he admitted Zendaya pulled it off better than him.

While accepting the fashion force award at the September event, Zendaya spoke about the power of fashion and its impact on her. "Fashion I think for me is really just emotional," she said. "It's allowed me to really find out who I am and be more courageous and more fearless."

Zendaya and Tommy's New York Fashion Week show in September marked their second and final collaboration. So it's only right that they went out with a bang and centreed the show around a '70s block party theme.

Zendaya isn't too busy to give back to her community. In September, she visited her hometown of Oakland, CA, to hand-deliver school supplies to Global Family Elementary School students. She's previously said that if she wasn't an actress, she'd be a teacher like her parents — and she'd clearly make a great one!

Zendaya gave us major Poison Ivy vibes (or Princess Ariel, depending how you look at it) at the Emmys in September, and we're not sure if we'll ever recover from it.

When a hater tried to come for Zendaya on Twitter, she had the best response (coupled with a subtle Louboutin red-bottom flex). Skip to 1:18 in the clip above to watch the hilarious moment!

Zendaya and her glam squad — hair stylist Ursula Stephen and makeup artist Sheika Daley — were featured on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter's September beauty issue, and rightfully so. When it comes to rocking a show-stopping beauty look, no one holds a candle to Zendaya.
