6 Characters Who Are Set to Appear in American Horror Story: Apocalypse

We're closing in on American Horror Story's eighth season, and excitement is at an all-time high. The next instalment of the series has been titled Apocalypse, and don't worry — we've already gone all the way in on theories and other miscellaneous speculation. But there's one aspect of the season that continues to allude us: who, exactly, will appear? We're not talking about the official cast, which grows with each passing day. No, we're talking about the characters who will show up once the episodes start airing. Luckily, we do have a handful of names who are expected to appear. Let's go over what we know so far.

1. Madison Montgomery

Emma Roberts was the first to announce that Madison Montgomery would be back for the show's eighth season. After appearing in Coven and sharing an interesting connection to Murder House, it kind of seems like a no-brainer!

2. Michael Langdon

Ryan Murphy confirmed the return of Michael Langdon, the Antichrist child of Vivien and Tate from Murder House, on Twitter. Naturally, we'd already predicted his return, and even imagined how he might fit in with the whole Apocalypse thing. Come on down, Michael!

3. Cordelia Goode

During a live-tweet session with Ryan Murphy, Evan Peters, and Emma Roberts, Sarah Paulson confirmed she would reprise her role as Coven's Cordelia Goode. To further confirm, she answered a couple of additional questions specific to the character. Behold the Supreme!

4. Kyle Spencer

During the same tweet sesh, Evan Peters hinted he'd play Kyle again, referring to himself as "FrankenKyle." This is going to be good, y'all.

5. An Unnamed Hairdresser

Peters has also noted that he's playing a hairdresser, but that's about all the information we have on the character so far.

6. "Nana"

Peters confirmed in the aforementioned interview that Joan Collins would play his Nana in the season. We can't help but wonder if she'll step into some kind of Jessica-Lange-type role! Give us the power woman we deserve, Collins!
