With the news that singer and actress Halle Bailey will be playing Ariel in Disney's live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, we're digging up all the performances we can find to hear what her take on Ariel's famous voice will be like. Since 2003, Halle has been part of an R&B duo with her sister Chloe, known as Chloe x Halle. Not only do they sing, but they write all of their own original music, play instruments, and arrange the songs themselves, even earning a pair of Grammy nominations in 2019. That's some serious talent, and we can't wait to see how Halle tackles the role of Disney's most musical princess! With Chloe on the keys, the duo teamed up for an unexpected cover of the John Legend ballad that showed off both their unique, individual voices.

Before they hit it big, Chloe and Halle were just a couple of supertalented girls doing amazing covers on YouTube — like this frankly stunning Beyonce tune!

Early on in their career, the duo surprised fans at a Microsoft store in the Mall of America by dropping in for an impromptu Christmas carol session!

Broadcast on ABC, the two-hour special Taking the Stage highlighted the role of African-American music and stories in changing American history. Chloe and Halle took the lead on a tribute to gospel music, with their big voices soaring.

Halle, a staple on Freefrom's Grown-ish, brings her musical talents to the show with this brand-new song and music video.

Late-night host Trevor Noah featured Chloe and Halle as musical guests on The Daily Show in early 2018, where they performed their signature songs "The Kids Are Alright" and "Warrior" live.

A Wrinkle in Time featured incredible black women both on screen and behind the camera, and Chloe x Halle joined the crew with this gorgeous contribution to the soundtrack.

For a fun interview with Teen Vogue in 2018, the duo did an impromptu jam session, pulling random words like "sunset" out of a bowl and making up little songs on the spot. If you were in doubt of their musical talents, this should have put them all to rest.

Beyoncé covers were a big part of Chloe and Halle's early career, so it's fitting in a way that they got to sing directly to their hero at the second annual Wearable Art Gala, where Queen Bey was being honoured for her charitable work.

Fall 2018 saw Chloe x Halle making the late-night rounds, as they did here with an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, singing the title song off their first album together.

The ladies stopped by James Corden's Late Late Show in 2018 as the night's musical guests, singing "Everywhere" while decked out in fabulous money-print dresses.

Before the game between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams, Chloe and Halle took to the field for a rendition of "America the Beautiful"

The duo made it to music's biggest stage in 2019, performing their breakout hit "Where Is the Love" at the Grammys and impressing everyone with their gorgeous harmonies.
