Kerry Washington will play Mia Warren, a free-spirited artist who stays with the Richardson family with her teenage daughter Pearl. You've probably seen Washington in a couple of things, but her most notorious yet is of that of the no-nonsense political consultant Olivia Pope on Scandal.
Reese Witherspoon as Elena Richardson
Reese Witherspoon will portray Elena Richardson, the Richardson matriarch who's also a Shaker Heights journalist. Even if you've only been minimally exposed to pop culture, you definitely know who Witherspoon is given that she's portrayed so many iconic characters such as Tracy Flick from Election and Elle Woods from Legally Blonde. If you can't wait for Little Fires Everywhere to come out, you can catch her as Madeline Mackenzie on Big Little Lies.
Rosemarie DeWitt as Linda McCullough
Rosemarie DeWitt is set to portray Linda McCullough, Elena's childhood friend who tries to adopt an infant Chinese girl. The actress is known for a number of different film parts, including those in Rachel Getting Married, La La Land, and Poltergeist. She recently played the mother in Black Mirror's 2017 episode "Arkangel."
Joshua Jackson as Bill Richardson
Joshua Jackson will play Elena's husband, Bill Richardson, a respected lawyer in the Shaker Heights community who argues on behalf of the McCulloughs. He's a seasoned actor who's appeared on shows such as Dawson's Creek and Fringe in addition to starring in films such as Cruel Intentions and The Mighty Ducks. Jackson recently appeared in Ava DuVernay's When They See Us as Antron's lawyer.

Lexi Underwood as Pearl Warren
Lexi Underwood will star as Pearl Warren, Mia's teenage daughter. The teenage actress has appeared on shows such as Raven's Home and Walk the Prank. She also lent her voice to SNL's The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special as the character Paige.
Up-and-coming actress Megan Stott will play Izzy Richardson, Elena's daughter who distances herself from her family's posh lifestyle and becomes close with Mia. She has had modest roles in the series So Shook and the short Second Star to the Right.
Gavin Lewis will play Moody Richardson, Elena's son who develops a crush on Mia's daughter Pearl. The teenage actor recently appeared in shows such as Roswell, New Mexico and Prince of Peoria.
Jade Pettyjohn will play Lexie Richardson, Elena's eldest daughter. Pettyjohn has appeared in a number of TV movies and recently starred in School of Rock as Summer Hathaway.
