How to Watch US Streaming Services in the UK

From Hulu to HBO Max: How to Watch US Streaming Channels in the UK

US streaming platforms such as Hulu and HBO Max have revolutionised how we consume American television shows and new film releases. From Selena Gomez's "Only Murders In The Building" to Zendaya's "Euphoria" and Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio's flick "Don't Look Up", Hollywood has been churning out award-winning entertainment content, but it can seem like it's solely available to those across the pond. We're here to tell you that's not the case!

Luckily, these very US streaming platforms have established lucrative deals with UK broadcasters, primarily Sky, which means we can now watch our favourite comedies, dramas, and thrillers without waiting months until they reach British screens.

These US to UK streaming deals may not guarantee the exact same release date as their American counterparts, nor may they have the entire catalogue of shows and films available for UK viewers. Still, the cons are little compared to dodging spoilers online for months. Read on to find out how to watch US streaming services in the UK.

How to Watch Hulu in the UK?

Hulu is a US-based subscription streaming service that has yet to establish an exclusive deal with UK broadcasters and is therefore unavailable for those outside the United States, US territories, and US military bases. Furthermore, Disney+ owns a part of Hulu, but once again, this is only available to US viewers.

This is a shame, as Hulu is home to some of television's most recognisable and award-winning content. But no need to worry, as much of their content is dispersed throughout other platforms. For example, "The Handmaid's Tale" is available on Channel 4, while shows such as "Pam and Tommy" and "The Kardashians" are available on Disney+ in the UK.

Bravo TV is also unavailable in the UK due to the same geo-restriction barriers as Hulu. To access its library of content, which includes "The Real Housewives of Orange County", "Million Dollar Listing", and "Married to Medicine", you will have to look elsewhere. For example, Bravo TV's show "Below Deck" is available on Amazon Fire TV devices, Apple TV, or the British streaming service, Hayu.
