The singer recently appeared on "The Late Late Show With James Corden [2]" to promote her forthcoming fourth album, and during a musical segment, she gave the group's "Butter" a fresh spin with the help of Filipino American vocal group The Filharmonic. "BTS! Period," Lizzo [3] said at the end of the a cappella performance.

This wasn't her first time covering the hit single: Lizzo previously performed a funk rendition of "Butter" [4] during her BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge appearance in September 2021. Then, a few months later, she attended a Harry Styles concert in Los Angeles with the K-pop group, calling them her "besties" in an Instagram caption [5].

During the sit-down interview portion of the "Late Late Show" episode, Lizzo shared a snippet of her upcoming single [6], titled "About Damn Time," which she'll release on April 14 ahead of her "Saturday Night Live [7]" episode later that week. Lizzo also confirmed that her fourth studio album is ready to go in a SXSW keynote address [8] on March 13. "It's done, so it's coming very very soon," she said, "and it's good. I worked real hard on it, so it better be good."
