Fresh off the release of his fifth studio album Papi Juancho, Maluma made his grand return to the MTV VMAs [1] stage on Sunday. Clad in a yellow suit, the 26-year-old Latin superstar virtually transported us to paradise with his energetic performance of his hit song, "Hawái [2]." Though the track is about a failed romance, Maluma seemed anything but sad as he took over the remote stage. The performance marked Maluma's second time performing at the ceremony following his 2018 debut [3], where he made history as the first solo Latin artist to sing a full song in Spanish. Maluma also took home his first Moon Person for best Latin [4] for his song "Qué Pena" with J Balvin.
