Hillman College is a great depiction of what it was like to go to historically black colleges and universities back in the day. The Cosby Show spin off originally focussed on Lisa Bonet's character Denise Huxtable, but it changed when she left after the first season. Some of the narratives explored in this show includes HIV/AIDS epidemic, sexual violence, safe sex and stereotypes about black women — all pressing issues in many nations today.
