Directed by Ava Duvernay, Selma follows the 1965 march that took the Martin Luther King Jr. (played by David Oyelowo) to Selma, Alabama, and culminated in the signing of the Voting Rights Act in America. The supporting cast includes Oprah Winfrey, who was also a producer on the film; Cuba Gooding Jr.; and Tim Roth as President Johnson.
