Did Matthew ever stand a chance when Japril was ripe and ready for picking? April and Jackson are best friends with a pretty extensive history. At her wedding, Jackson confesses his love for her in front of all their friends, much to poor Matthew's chagrin. She runs away with the Avery golden boy while Sleeping at Last's weepy version of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" plays in the background. As sad as things are for Matthew in this particular moment, we're glad that he and April get a beautiful second chance in the 14th season.
