After so many years of not winning an Oscar that he'd become a punchline, Leonardo DiCaprio finally took home the trophy for best actor for The Revenant. As anyone who's been following his career might have expected, his speech was a combination of grateful acknowledgements and bringing awareness to environmental work. But it was the last few lines that brought it all together:
"I thank you all for this amazing award tonight. Let us not take this planet for granted. I do not take tonight for granted."
