An unstable college professor recruits his brightest students to help him create a poltergeist by tormenting a young woman (because poltergeists are drawn to negative energy). His students come on board thinking they'll be helping the woman heal, but they soon discover they've signed up for a seriously upsetting extra credit assignment.
