Created by the British showrunner George Kay, Lupin is the first French series to crack the top 10 on Netflix in the American market (a projected total of 70 million households will watch at least part of the series in its first 28 days, which is 7 million more than Bridgerton if you can believe). A little bit like Ocean's Eleven meets Sherlock Holmes meets National Treasure, the show follows Assane Diop — a devout fan of the French thief Arsène Lupin — in his attempts to steal Marie Antoinette's necklace to avenge his father for an injustice that changed his life. Funny, thrilling, and full of action, we only have one grip — we wish there were double the episodes!
