While we all wished we had a Miranda to our Lizzie growing up, the truth is, their friendship isn't entirely perfect. Like all childhood BFFs, they have their fair share of ups and downs throughout the series. On several occasions, Miranda actually ditches Lizzie for boys or the chance to fit in with the popular crowd. Now that I'm an adult, I realise friendship is so much more than just having people who share the same interests as you. It's about surrounding yourself with people who will always have your back and ultimately help you grow as a person. The reason I've stayed so close with my own childhood friends is that, despite our differences, we have supported each other through all of our various life events.
