Despite serving her time, the people of her coastal town refuse to let her move on from her past, but rather than succumb to their abuse, she just keeps on fighting to start fresh. This comedy finds its power in Miri's unrelenting optimism in the face of an entire town's worth of people who believe she doesn't deserve a second chance.
