Canonically, Ayo (Florence Kasumba), one of King T'Challa's guards in Black Panther, is a queer character in the comics. She falls in love with another warrior name Aneka. While Ayo and Okoye (Danai Gurira) were supposed to have a flirtatious scene in the Black Panther movie, this moment was eventually cut out, much to the disappointment of some fans.
