Clare made her Bachelor debut in 2014, where she was one of the favourites to win the heart of Juan Pablo Galavis. She was one of the final two, but when Juan Pablo rejected her in the finale, she gave him a major dressing-down in a speech that pretty much went down in Bachelor history. "I thought I knew what kind of man you are. I lost respect for you. Because, I'll tell you what. I thought I knew what kind of man you were. What you made me go through, I would never want my children having a father like you."
Juan Pablo gave his final rose to the other finalist, Nikki Ferrell, but did not propose. By the end of 2014, they'd decided to end their relationship. He married Venezuelan model and TV host Osmariel Villalobos in 2017.
