Based on the novel of the same name by Georges Simenon, this French erotic thriller tells the story of a married agricultural contractor and a married pharmacist who've known each other for years and who — against their better judgement — start an affair. Things become complicated, however, after the pharmacist's husband dies, as his death doesn't appear to be the result of natural causes.
