This drama tells the story of Chantel, a 17-year-old growing up in Brooklyn with dreams of leaving her working class neighbourhood behind to attend college and eventually become a doctor. However, her dream is tested by her penchant for getting in trouble at school, her boyfriend, and the accidental pregnancy that results from her relationship.
