After the murder of Alpha, Beta begins to lose his grip on reality, and we wondered if he'd survive the season. He hallucinates that the walkers can actually talk to him as he leads the horde to the survivor community's stronghold. When the community's plan to "Pied Piper" the walkers off of a cliff seems to be in dire trouble, Negan comes to the group's aid baiting Beta into a fight. Just as Beta seems to gain the upper hand, Daryl arrives to stab him in the head. Beta removes the daggers and has another hallucination as the walkers tear him to pieces. With Beta finally defeated, the chapter on the Whisperers seems closed. It'll be interesting to see who the villain is next season and it was even better to see Daryl call Beta a nobody.
