Every now and again, we'll get a glimpse of a dark figure with glowing glasses near Dani. For the most part, they're relegated to reflections in mirrors and windows. After Flora discovers a pair of broken glasses among Dani's belongings, we learn that this dark figure is the ghost of Dani's fiancé Edmund.
Edmund and Dani are best friends growing up and childhood sweethearts. The two are set to get married when Dani has second thoughts, likely due to the self-discovery of her attraction to women. The pair fight as she breaks things off and just as Edmund gets out of the car, he's hit by a truck and later dies at the hospital. Dani is then plagued with the guilt of his death and the secret that they were actually no longer together when he died.
