To All the Boys I've Loved Before might not have a ton of plot similarities to The Princess Diaries, but its tone as a sweet but snarky teen comedy makes it a great fit for a new generation of fans looking for depictions of teenagers as interesting, messy, and funny people. Just as Mia struggles with newfound attention and having a crush on the wrong guy, so does Lara Jean as she adjusts to being in a fake relationship and developing real and conflicting feelings.
