"Stutz"

The Netflix project "Stutz" essentially follows discussions between psychiatrist Phil Stutz and actor Jonah Hill. It's certainly an interesting premise that gets up close and personal in stylish black-and-white cinematography. Stutz is Hill's friend and therapist, and the documentary illuminates Hill and Stutz's intriguing visual therapy methods. Stutz playfully notes in the documentary, "This is either the greatest documentary ever made or the worst, and it's probably both." Make of that what you will — Hill did, as a reminder, direct the critically acclaimed film "Mid90s," which is based on his own childhood in Los Angeles.
