Hopefully Mackenzie Davis picked up a few lessons in self defence while filming Terminator: Dark Fate [1], because she'll need all the protection she can get in The Turning.

The trailer for the upcoming horror film stars Davis as Kate, a young nanny who journeys to a remote estate in the Maine countryside to help care for two orphans — Flora (The Florida Project's Brooklynn Prince) and Miles (Stranger Things alum Finn Wolfhard [2]). Despite the gorgeous home where they reside, the children are clearly disturbed and Kate soon discovers that they've been harbouring a dark, and potentially fatal secret about the mysterious death of their parents.

The Turning is directed by Floria Sigismondi (The Handmaid's Tale [3]) and was inspired by the iconic Henry James novel, so yes — nightmares are in your future. (As if the shot of Wolfhard's character chomping down on a giant spider didn't give that away already.)
