Remember when the widely-loved Jordanian-Romanian shoe designer Amina Muaddi debuted her ultra tall latex peep-toe boot, and we all longed for them while simultaneously having nowhere to actually wear them? Saint Laurent introduced a similar red vinyl pair with their Fall/Winter 2020 collection, but for the most part, the look has since taken on a more approachable form (Amina Muaddi even dropped a bootie version herself). In any case, the high-shine finish in and of itself speaks to the idea of simply having fun with fashion. Latex and patent leather boots will look amazing paired with latex leggings, but if you're not all the way there yet, they'll look just as great with leather trousers.
