Buxton also picked a specific colour for the film's most harrowing scenes. "I use orange as a danger colour," she says, working together with production designer Moran-Morris to recreate a sexually charged Crush party where orange hues can be spotted on objects and extras. But it's Paddy, responsible for assaulting Tara twice, who dons the colour the most.
"The first time we meet Paddy, he's wearing orange trunks. Almost all of Paddy's outfits have an element of orange," she continues. "The night of the assault on the beach, he wears an orange t-shirt. And we embroidered an orange snake into his swimming trunks."
