The Crown [1] season four includes the introduction of Emma Corrin as Princess Diana [2], and they are re-creating some of the royal's most memorable early fashion moments [3]. Whilst we only get a glimpse of Princess Diana's iconic (and extravagant) wedding dress [4], designed by Elizabeth and David Emanuel, Netflix does document Diana and Prince Charles's courtship and most notable early royal appearances [5] in season 4, and with it, Diana's early, ultra-feminine style that ranged from off-duty jumpers and overalls, to ruffled and polka-dotted dresses for big occasions.
Unsurprisingly, The Crown's costume department managed to replicate Princess Diana's outfits from the '80s to a T, including that famous black sheep jumper from Warm & Wonderful [6], the blue suit she wore in her engagement photos, and the green dress with oversized lace collar she wore in a casual photo-op with a baby Prince William.
