See The Crown's Costumes Side by Side With Princess Diana's Actual Looks
The Crown season four includes the introduction of Emma Corrin as Princess Diana, and they are re-creating some of the royal's most memorable early fashion moments. Whilst we only get a glimpse of Princess Diana's iconic (and extravagant) wedding dress, designed by Elizabeth and David Emanuel, Netflix does document Diana and Prince Charles's courtship and most notable early royal appearances in season 4, and with it, Diana's early, ultra-feminine style that ranged from off-duty jumpers and overalls, to ruffled and polka-dotted dresses for big occasions.
Unsurprisingly, The Crown's costume department managed to replicate Princess Diana's outfits from the '80s to a T, including that famous black sheep jumper from Warm & Wonderful, the blue suit she wore in her engagement photos, and the green dress with oversized lace collar she wore in a casual photo-op with a baby Prince William.
