This Is How Your Favourite Marvel Characters Get Into Shape

It's no surprise that getting into superhero shape takes an incredible amount of hard work and discipline, but seeing the stars train behind the scenes only motivates us to hit the gym harder. In light of the most recent Marvel film, Avengers: Infinity War, we've rounded up some of our favourite cast members, who are just as badass off screen as they are on screen. Expect to see eight familiar faces (and chiselled bodies) from Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America, Black Panther, and more ahead!

1. Chris Evans: Captain America

Thought Captain America was hot? Wait until you see Chris Evans combat-training in real life. The actor shared several videos of himself preparing for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and we can't peel our eyes away.

2. Scarlett Johansson: Black Widow

In addition to combat-training with her stunt double (who you'll see ahead), Scarlett prepared for the role of Natalia Romanova by combining cardio with circuit training and focusing on MMA outside the gym. Her vegan-dominant diet also contributed to her rockin' bod.

3. Lupita Nyong'o: Nakia

Before filming began for Black Panther, Lupita Nyong'o and her costars had to endure an intense six-week boot camp, which started off with four hours of training each day. Additionally, they worked with a stunt team to prepare for those physically challenging scenes.

4. Karen Gillan: Nebula

To get into Nebula shape, Karen Gillan had to make a drastic change to her lifestyle. Much of her role preparation required martial arts, weightlifting, and a protein-heavy diet.

5. Michael B. Jordan: Erik Killmonger
