Simone Biles Is the GOAT in Gymnastics — Watch Her Floor Routines Through the Years

Simone Biles is the Wonder Woman of gymnastics. She's broken so many records that naming them would take up too much of your time, so here's a few: she holds the record for most World Championship medals of all time and, as part of Rio's "Final Five," became the first US woman in the sport to win four gold medals at an Olympic Games.

In 2018, Simone became the first woman to earn four world all-around titles; then, at 2019 Worlds, she broke her own record by winning a fifth time. She is also the first gymnast in women's gymnastics since the 1980s to earn a World Championship medal on every event (Yelena Shushunova did it for the Soviet Union back in 1987). And, so far, she has a six-year all-around winning streak.

Simone, 22, has dominated competitions by two full points before, which is downright impressive considering titles can be determined by mere 10ths of a point. She already has her sights on Tokyo 2020, and given that she does some of the highest-difficulty skills in the sport — plus her unstoppable winning streak — it wouldn't be a surprise if she's given a spot on that team.

Sure, Simone is powerful on bars, beam, and vault — she has a vault named after her — but if there's one place she shines most, it's floor. It's in this event where she has not one, but two skills bearing her name and does moves that no female gymnast has ever done. Ahead, check out her floor routines through the years. They prove she's always been a force to be reckoned with and she keeps getting better. Her gymnastics, so it seems, knows no limits.

Nine years ago, Simone showed so much promise. Not to mention, her choice in music will put a smile on your face.

Simone was still a junior competitor here, and her first pass was a double layout into a stag jump. Many competitors add jumps to the end of their tumbling passes because these connections tack on 10ths to their difficulty. It's also a great way to take advantage of any extra power, which Simone has tons of.

As the announcers stated, Simone had so much energy that she didn't know what to do with it. Though there were a number of errors in this routine (mostly due to lack of control), Simone finished second in the all-around competition behind teammate Katelyn Ohashi.

Watch Simone perform her signature move, The Biles, as her second pass. It's a double layout with a half twist, which she was the first to do in a world cup event.

Simone's routine at the 2018 World Championships in Doha, Qatar, was full of smiles, techno music, and stuck landings. Her face at the end said it all.

Simone won the 2019 GK US Classic and added a front layout to her signature move, The Biles, during her floor routine. She makes flipping and twisting through the air look oh so easy!

Simone received the all-around title at the 2019 US Gymnastics Championships, tying the record for the most national all-around titles won (six). She competed a triple double on floor for the first time, which was historic, since no woman has ever landed it in competition (Simone wowed us at the 2019 GK US Classic by debuting this move during warmups).

On Oct. 5, during the qualifying round of the 2019 World Gymnastics Championships, Simone did her triple-double. Because her floor routine included this skill at a World Championships, the triple-twisting double backflip officially became known as the Biles II and will soon be added to the FIG Code of Points (the gymnastics rulebooks) with a J value, or one whole point.

Simone ended this floor routine with a mic drop and went on to win her record fifth World all-around title. We think she should "drop the mic" in every floor routine from now on. Congrats, Simone!
