Noah Cyrus Chats Mental Health and Using Her Anxiety Struggles "For Good and Not Evil"

It looks like we can add Noah Cyrus to the ever-growing list of young celebrities who are working on destigmatizing mental health [1]. The 19-year-old singer stopped by The Late Late Show With James Corden on Tuesday and opened up about why she launched a new clothing line, dubbed The Lonely Collection, to support The Jed Foundation [2], a nonprofit that aims to prevent suicide among teens and young adults. "It's something very close to my heart," Noah said, stating, "I've struggled with anxiety and depression since I was 10 or 11 years old."

Teaming up with The Crystal Campaign [3] on the apparel collection is Noah's way of using her platform to "help young adults all around America — and everywhere in the world — know that they're not alone." She added, "All of the anxieties I have, [I want to] use it for good and not evil, don't let it take over my life like it has been for all of these years. I want to be able to talk about it and raise awareness." That's certainly a mission we can get behind!
