Kami Activewear Beluga Mesh Leggings

Founder Katie Snell was inspired to launch after finishing a marine biology report. "My experiences with marine biology meant that I saw first-hand the effects of plastic pollution in the marine environment. It became clear to me that there was more that needed to be done," she said via press release.

The Kami Activewear Beluga Mesh Leggings (£85), along with the rest of the brand's range, are made sustainably at every stage of the supply chain. The fabric is made from a majority of recycled materials (65% recycled polyester, 35% elastane, while the mesh is 76% recycled polyester, 24% recycled elastane). The company also uses smart packaging tactics, like mailer bags made from potato starch and inner garment bags that look like single-use plastic but are biodegradable and dissolve in hot water. To top it all off, the company also donates a percentage of each sale to the Marine Conservation Society.
