Jade Mordente started her spiritual journey in childhood and always had an awareness for energy. She would often see, hear, and feel spirit in her teen years and wondered what was going on. After meeting with a therapist, who was also a psychic medium, everything started to make sense, and Jade realised that her gift was very much a real and special thing. "She took me under her wing," Mordente told POPSUGAR. "This was my introduction to crystals, meditation, and holistic wellness, and over a three-year period, I began to feel more and more understood."
"Back then, however, all I could focus on was a career in fashion," she continued. "So the crystals were pushed to one side as I graduated from a Scottish fashion school, moved to London, and slowly began to build a career. By 2020, after seven years in the industry, I felt burnt out, tired, and hopeless. Having been diagnosed with Complex-PTSD four years prior, I had been steadily coming back into my spiritual practices and leaning on them when times were tough. I used Tarot cards, spells, and eventually Reiki to holistically heal the inner turmoil and mental health issues I was facing. As things in my career progressed, this sense of fulfilment I was seeking was still nowhere to be found, and I was relying heavily on my holistic practices to keep me afloat — so I knew something had to change."
"With my Reiki training under my belt, and friends who were regularly coming to me for crystal advice and readings, my partner and I took a huge leap of faith in the summer of 2020. We gave up our jobs in the industry and moved to Edinburgh. I launched my business, Jade Like The Stone, and began working as a full time holistic healer. The heart of my practice is supporting womxn's journey to mental, physical, and spiritual wellness through holistic healing — making spirituality accessible for all and a part of everyday wellness.
