Right after the rage fire that was the 2016 election, McKinnon opened SNL with a morose and tasteful rendition of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" on the piano as Hillary Clinton. Depending on how you feel about the results of the election, it was a time of mourning for many. As Clinton, McKinnon reassured the audience, "I'm not giving up, and neither should you."
