As people across California find themselves without homes to return to, so do their pets. Similar to years prior, local animal shelters have received a spike in the number of pets in need of new homes and foster homes in 2021. If you are able, consider fostering a pet or donating to one of many animal shelters in the area, including the El Dorado County Pet Aid Fund, the Humane Society of Ventura County, Sonoma County Animal Services, Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter, and UC Davis Veterinary Medicine.
