After a fire broke out in an apartment complex in Anderson, SC, a nearby ex-Marine acted fast to save an 11-month-old boy who was stuck on the second floor of the burning building [3]. The good Samaritan, who wishes to remain anonymous, caught the child as his mom threw him out of the window in order to save his life. Thankfully, a witness caught the whole thing on video [4] — and talk about being at the right place at the right time.

According to NBC News [5], the mom jumped out of the window shortly after handing her child off to the quick-thinking stranger. Fortunately, firefighters were able to rescue a dog, cat, and turtle from the building. Both the mom and young boy reportedly only suffered minor injuries.
