Meet the Cast of No Good Nick, Netflix’s New Family Sitcom With a Dark Twist

28/03/2019 - 07:37 PM

Netflix's new Original show [1], No Good Nick is introducing a hilarious and lovable family to the small screen — the Thompsons, who just found out that they're the closest of kin to a distant 13-year-old relative . . . or are they? When Nicole "Nick" Patterson shows up at the family's front door and says, "I'm here to live with you, you didn't get the memo?," the Thompsons never consider that they're being duped by a teenager; but as the story unfolds, it's made clear that Nick has ulterior motives.

A family sitcom at its roots — one that will remind parents who grew up in the '90s of some of their favourite old shows — No Good Nick [2] and its clever storylines are bound to grip your kids (and you!) just seconds into the pilot episode, aptly named "Catfish." Learn more about the cast of No Good Nick, which premiers on Netflix on April 15, ahead.

Melissa Joan Hart as Liz

No stranger to sitcoms, Melissa Joan Hart is taking on the role of the Thompson family matriarch, Liz. Melissa told POPSUGAR of this new role: "My character Liz is unlike any other character that I've played before. She's very career driven and a tough nut to crack."

Sean Astin as Ed

Sean Astin, who stole everyone's hearts as Bob Newby in the second season of Stranger Things [4] in 2018, is taking on a similar, yet completely different role as Ed Thompson. Sean told POPSUGAR of his role: "My character, Ed, is fashioned after the best of the sitcom dads. He's fun, open, and caring of everyone around him. I love that when the show takes a turn for the darker and more dramatic, Ed is upbeat and positive."

Siena Agudong as Nick

Fourteen-year-old Siena Agudong is taking on the title role of Nick, who Melissa Joan Hart calls an "antihero in the sense that she is doing terrible things, but we can't believe that it's for good reason." Siena also starred as the lead role in Nickelodeon's Star Falls as Sophia Miller, as well as in Nick's feature film Alex & Me as Reagan Wills.

Kalama Epstein as Jeremy

Seventeen-year-old Kalama Epstein, best known for his role as Noah on Freeform's The Fosters, will be taking on the role of Jeremy, the oldest Thompson kid who, in the opening scene of No Good Nick, is hilariously presenting all the reasons he deserves a new car to his family.

Lauren Lindsey Donzis as Molly

Your kids might recognise 14-year-old Lauren Lindsey Donzis as Ruby from Disney's Liv and Maddie. In No Good Nick, she plays Molly Thompson, a charitable and energetic character who welcomes Nick into the fold with open arms and is one of the first people to evoke Nick's softer side.
