Check Out the Kid-Friendly Experiences on the Disney Wish!

Fun Ahoy! Disney Cruise Line's Newest Ship Has a Boatload of New Experiences For Kids

Disney Cruise Line is billing its newest cruise ship, the Disney Wish, as a "castle on the seas" and your family will totally feel like royalty with all the new kid-friendly experience onboard. From superhero dinners and family-friendly swimming pools to a kids' club so cool we're strongly considering sneaking in, the Disney Wish is a dream come true for kids.

The Disney Wish is set to sail its maiden voyage on June 9, 2022. Bookings open up May 27, 2021 and after seeing everything this ship has to offer for kids, we're already stocking up on SPF and packing our bags.

A Pool With a View

The Disney Wish's upper decks will have more pools and deck space than any other Disney Cruise Line ship. On top of six pools and daily poolside entertainment, little ones can play in them bathtub-themed Toy Story Splash Zone.

AquaMouse: The First-Ever Disney Attraction At Sea

All Disney Cruise Line ships have water slides, but none of them have a slide like the AquaMouse. This water ride will take kids (and kids at heart) through a "magical tunnel" into a Mickey Mouse cartoon. On the ride, you'll see favourite Disney characters, sea creatures, and panoramic ocean views.

Fairytale Hall

For its newest ship, Disney has completely reimagined its Oceaneer Club – an immersive play space for kids ages 3 to 12. Little princes and princesses can paint with Rapunzel, read a book with Belle, and even visit Anna and Elsa's Summerhaus.

Marvel Super Hero Academy

Once they've had their fill of playtime with Disney royalty, your kids can train with their favourite Marvel super heroes. They'll get to design their own super hero suit and then test its powers and durability in an interactive virtual game.

Walt Disney Imagineering Lab

If you tell your kids there's a roller coaster on the Disney Wish you wouldn't technically be lying. In the Disney's Oceaneer Club Walt Disney Imagineering Lab, kids can learn what it really takes to be an Imagineer by designing their own coaster and then taking a virtual ride on their creation.

But Wait, There's More!

We're still recovering from the excitement of learning our kids can hang with princesses and Avengers all day (while we relax by the pool) before we all have dinner with Anna and Elsa, but there's so much more to the Disney Wish that Disney has yet to share full details on.

There will be additional clubs for tweens and teens, a nursery for kids 6 months to 3 years, two movie theatres, a sports arena where families can face off against each other, and more.
