Prepare your child for school rules, and teach appropriate behaviour.
Especially if your child is young or a new student, it's important to learn, teach, and reinforce school rules, like raising your hand before asking a question, taking turns, respecting others' belongings and spaces, etc. When kids know and follow the rules, teachers can spend more time actually teaching and less time disciplining.
