Geckos are one of the most unique pets you can own, and leopard geckos are known as the most low-maintenance of the bunch. The most popular beginner's reptile, they don't require too much cage maintenance, cannot climb walls (so they can't escape from their cage), and can easily be socialised. Keep just one male per habitat, handle them carefully, and feed your gecko a good variety of insects (plus a dish of water at all times). From there, it's smooth sailing with your cute, spotted pal!
