I am a voracious reader. It's something I've always enjoyed, and when I think about my ideal Sunday, it always includes at least an hour of reading time. I love books, and don't typically have one set genre that I choose from, so for me, everything's on the table. I do have a reading routine, if you will, which sounds a bit odd until you hear my reasoning.
Provided I actually like the book, I am an insanely fast reader. It is both a blessing and a curse; the pros being that I can finish a 300 page book in a couple of hours, and the cons being that I can finish a 300 page book in a couple of hours. Since I prefer a physical copy of a book versus an e-reader or audiobook, I have to ration out my reading time or else my house will turn into a library. Weekends are when I like to read, and I take full advantage.
My ideal Sunday involves sleeping in, a morning matcha, an at-home workout, and then some reading time. The books I gravitate towards teach me about myself and the world around me, sometimes by transporting me into another universe and other times by helping me examine the world I inhabit. These are eight of my favourites, and if you're overwhelmed by too much screen time, I'd highly recommend any of these titles.
