Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon kept the party going at the Time 100 Gala in NYC last night. The two friends, who were named two of the magazine's 100 most influential people in the world this year, were joined by Justin's wife, a Tom Ford-clad Jessica Biel, and a Lanvin-wearing Claire Danes. Also out were honorees Lena Dunham and Vice President Joe Biden, who took the chance to work the room of Hollywood stars. Other guests included Amy Poehler, Steven Spielberg, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Christina Aguilera, who performed at the event and hobnobbed with Lena on the red carpet.

Inside the bash, the stars wasted no time celebrating the honorees. Justin and Jimmy danced around the room and goofed off with Amy and musician Frank Ocean. Lena commented on getting on the Time 100 list, saying that the first person she told about being on the list was her father. She said, "I called my dad because he was a layout editor at Time in the 1970s, so I was super psyched, and I wanted to tell him that I was making good in his former institution. I heard there was a drinks cart when he worked there." Meanwhile, Daniel, who picked up the best actor award at this year's Oscars, commented that he is "more than mildly astonished" that he landed on the list.

Beyoncé Knowles Covers W's Music Issue Along With Christina Aguilera

Beyoncé Knowles and Christina Aguilera shared the honor of covering July's music edition of W.

Beyoncé Knowles and Christina Aguilera shared the honor of covering July's music edition of W. Both singers are at exciting points in their careers — Christina has found a new outlet on TV with NBC's The Voice while Beyoncé is gearing up for the release of her new album 4. Beyoncé spoke to the magazine about her vision and inspiration for the tracks, even revealing the important meaning of the record's title. Beyoncé said in W:

  • On her vision: "When I sing a song, I definitely have the image for the video in my mind. I kind of hear the choreography that will be in the video, and I can see how I’ll look, even before anyone — the record company, the director — has heard the song."
  • On her new record: "I wanted this record to come from a raw place. Playing Etta James in the movie Cadillac Records really changed me. It was a darker character, and I realized that if anything is too comfortable, I want to run from it. It’s no fun being safe."
  • On the symbolism of her album's title: "The fans have named the album 4. And four is my favorite number. It’s an important number in my life: the date of my birthday, my mom’s birthday, my husband’s birthday, the day I got married. Barack Obama is the 44th president, and I performed ‘At Last’ by Etta James at his inauguration."

Christina Aguilera and Boyfriend Matthew Rutler Arrested!

Christina Aguilera and her boyfriend Matthew Rutler were apparently arrested early this morning in LA.

Christina Aguilera and her boyfriend Matthew Rutler were apparently arrested early this morning in LA. She was picked up for public intoxication and he for an alleged DUI. He was apparently pulled over for driving erratically at about 2:45 a.m., and she was "unable to take care of herself."

According to stories that keep emerging, Christina is going through a difficult time since her split with Jordan Bratman last Fall. She also recently flubbed the words of the National Anthem at the Super Bowl and stumbled on stage at the Grammys. Reports say that her friends are worried about her and think she should consider checking into rehab. If she is in trouble, perhaps this arrest will be the wakeup call she needs.

Gwyneth Goes Tight, Katy Shares Wedding Footage, and Kate Hudson Gets a Kiss at the Grammys!

Last night's Grammys in LA was a star-studded production from start to finish!

Last night's Grammys in LA was a star-studded production from start to finish! The celebs went from posing on the red carpet into the Staples Center, where Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, and Florence Welch participated in an all-female tribute to Aretha Franklin. Aretha herself said thank you via satellite, then Christina and her gang presented an early award for best pop duo or group award to Train. Lady Gaga emerged from her attention-getting egg to take the stage with a troupe of latex-clad dancers to sing her brand-new single "Born This Way" — what do you think of her rendition? Muse was next up to perform "Uprising" with a gang of vandals, and Justin Bieber nearly brought the house down doing a medley with Jaden Smith and Usher. Jaden's parents Will and Jada were the most enthusiastic fans in the crowd, leaping to their feet in order to give a standing ovation.

The best rock album of the year award went to Muse for The Resistance, and after giving a baby bump-revealing Kate Hudson a kiss, Matt Bellamy bounded to the stage to say, "a special thanks to my beautiful pregnant girlfriend over there!" Lady Antebellum took home top honours for their country record, and then a rather colorfully dressed Cee Lo Green appeared in feathers and with puppets to sing "Forget You" alongside a Tracy Anderson-toned Gwyneth Paltrow. Gwyneth went with the feather theme with a pair of pink earrings, but the real head-turner was her skin tight catsuit. Katy Perry sweetly incorporated images from her wedding in India with husband Russell Brand before segueing into dance mode with a snippet of "Teenage Dream," which had even Nicole Kidman bopping her head in the audience! John Mayer, Norah Jones, and Nicole's husband Keith Urban were next up to do a rendition of Dolly Parton's "Jolene," and the collaborations kept coming from Rihanna with both Eminem and Drake. Esperanza Spalding pulled off an upset in the best new artist category defeating big names like Florence and the Machine and Justin Bieber, while Lady Antebellum accomplished a similar feat taking home best record of the year for "Need You Now." Arcade Fire was the big winner with a best album nod for The Suburbs — check out all honourees over on Buzz!
